Jennings Clyde Cecil, 79, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Hospice of N.W. Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Jennings was born on Aug 1, 1933, to Rueben and Poppy Cecil in Elk Valley, Tenn.

Jennings was a Veteran of the United States Army, retiree from Chrysler and a minister for 16 years. He always had a special love for the piano.

Jennings is survived by his children, Patricia (Troy), Teresa (Dennis), Carol, Michael, Michelle (Ralph); 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, brothers, Ernest, Delbert, Dewey and Harold Cecil; sisters, Essie Lay, Jeannine Cecil, Cassel Lay, Violet Stanfill and Pansy Zecchini.

Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the mortuary, where the family will greet guests starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
