Hazel Pennington, 57, 1117 S. Luick Ave., died Saturday night in the emergency room at Ball Hospital. She had bee in ill health for some time.
A former resident of 909 S. Elm St., Mrs. Pennington had resided with a daughter, Mrs. Louise Monroe the past year. She was born in Kentucky and had lived in Muncie the last 20 years, coming from Oneida, Tenn. She was a member of the United Baptist Church on Cornbread Road.
Surviving are her husband, Dan, Oneida, Tenn.; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Brendel, Mrs. Linda Alexander, Mrs. Marsha Smith and Mrs. Monroe, all of Muncie; two brothers, Austin and Gilbert Slaven, both of Muncie; and 10 grandchildren.
The body was removed to Parson Mortuary where final rites are pending.
