Inez A. Reeve, 77, 930 National Road W., died Tuesday afternoon at Reid Memorial Hospital. She was in the process of moving to Athens, Ga., where she was going to make her home.

She was a native of Emporia, Kan. and had lived in Richmond since 1963, coming here from East Africa. She was a graduate of Emporia State University in the class of 1965. She had served for nine years on the Friends Mission Board as a missionary in Kenya. She taught school in Indianapolis; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Emporia school systems. She retired as a teacher in the Centerville-Abington schools where she taught for 10 years. Her husband, Fred Reeve, died in 1974.

She was a member of the Wayne County Retired Teachers Association and the West Richmond Friends Meeting where she served as a recording clerk for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Seerly of Bogart, Ga., and Ruth Hopper of North Canton, Ohio; one son, Wayne A. Reeve, of Laurens, S.C.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Kruse of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bernice Webb of Emporia, and Helen Adams of Dodge City, Kan.; one brother, Willard Allen of Neosho, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Inez A. Reeve will be 2 p.m. Thursday at West Richmond Friends Meeting. There will be no public calling. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Friends Cemetery in Emporia. Arrangements are being handled by Doan and Mills Funeral Home.
