Milton Kasper died Monday, September 14, 1942 at his home in Toronto after an illness of nearly three years.
Mr. Kasper suffered a broken back and other serious injuries in January 1940, when a cowshed at his farm east of Toronto collasped while he was inside milking. After many weeks in the hospital he was brought to his home, but he was never able to walk again. He won the admiration and deepest respect of his many friends by his cheerful and optomistic attitude in the face of his tragic misfortune.
Milton, son of Dave and Agnes Kasper, was born in Canton, Kansas, on January 25, 1913, and departed this life at his home in Toronto, Kansas, on Monday, September 14, 1942, following a lingering illness at the age of 29 years, 7 months and 20 days.
He was united in marriage to Marie McJunkin of Toronto, on May 7, 1939.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Marie, and his father, Dave Kasper of Toronto; one brother, Orray Kasper of Hillsboro, Ore., two sisters, Mrs. Luella Miller of Gate, Oklahoma, and Gladys of the home; besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Toronto Christian Church conducted by Rev. F.N. Griffin. Interment was in the Toronto Cememtery.
