Henry Oscar Noel was born September 11, 1887, in Ligonier, Pa., a son of William H. and Maria Angeline (Noel) Noel. (His parents were cousins.)

Oscar married Christine C. Finniff; they moved to Hazelwood, Pa. They became the parents of five children: Dorothy B. Noel, Raymond Edgar Noel, William O. Noel, Jane Angeline Noel, and Catherine M. Noel.

After his wife died in 1960, Oscar moved to Texas to live with a granddaughter.

Henry Oscar Noel, 82, died December 20, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas. He was buried with his wife in Richland Cemetery.
