BUCKNER, L. T. - age 87, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012. Mr. Buckner was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years of service as a yard master and member of First Baptist Concord. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alene Buckner; daughter, Brenda Hudson; granddaughter, Jessica Ogle; parents, Thomas and Margie Perkins Buckner; and siblings, Spence and Donnie Buckner and Joyce Davis, Edith Watts and Thelma Stepp. He is survived by daughters, Janice Ogle and husband Dwayne and Robin Taylor and husband Marc; granddaughters, Melissa Harold and husband Casey and Mikall Taylor; grandson, Addison Taylor; great grandsons, Caleb, Jacob and Jesse Harold; siblings, Thomas Buckner and Frances Watson; special friend Barbara Mixon; and many nieces, nephews and close family friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 19th, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Concord, funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 20th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland West Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Concord Christian School or First Baptist Concord Senior Adult Ministry, 11704 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37934.
