WALTER R. SCHEINERT
Walter R. Scheinert, 69, of 1741 Iowa St., died Sunday at 9:45 a.m. at Mercy Hospital. He had been in ill health for six months.
He was born in Oshkosh on March 9, 1894, son of Ernst and Henrietta Scheinert, and was married here to Ruby Alyea on Sept 29, 1917.
As a plumber he was apprenticed to Toner Plumbing and Heating, then was employed by contractors in Oshkosh and other cities in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan before his
retirement on Nov 19, 1959. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and local 134 of the plumbers and steamfitters union.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby: one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Wickert, Oshkosh: one son, Richard Scheinert, Waukegan, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Flora Klix, Oshkosh; one brother,
Frank Scheinert, Oshkosh; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Herman and Harry, and one sister, Alma Botz.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home in private, with the Rev. Erling W. Rabe, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m.
