William H. Voice Jr., 85, of 207 Harvey St. died at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 1996, at his home.
Born Feb. 18, 1911, in DuQuoin to William H. Sr. and Nina Boll Voice, he married Janette Morris on April 11, 1936, in DuQuoin. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, W. David of Farmington; one daughter, Mrs. Willis (Judith) Meeks of Washington; one brother, Edward of Decatur; three sisters, Martha Wilks of Tuscola, Nila Martin of DuQuoin and Shirley Fithian of Newburgh, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He lived in Washington since 1946. He worked in inventory control at Caterpillar Inc. for 38½ years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Eureka Golf Club.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mason-White Funeral Home. The Rev. Leon McClimans will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
