Death of Mrs. Frederick.

Mrs. Annie M. Frederick, a well-known lady of this borough, died at her home on North Hanover street (sic) on Saturday evening about four o'clock, aged 58 years. Her death was entirely unexpected by her family and friends. She was taken sick on Saturday, the 14th, just one week previous to her death. She was not thought to be dangerously ill until Thursday of last week, when the family began to be alarmed about her. Dr. Dale was her physician, and on Friday Dr Keiffer was called in to consult with him. She was quite sick on Saturday but her friends did not apprehend her immediate death. Just a few minutes before she died she wanted to be turned in bed, and word was sent to Theodore, her son, to come into the room. Just as he did so she turned herself, then in a minute or two she was dead. Her disease was pronounced paralysis of the bowels.

The shock to the family was very great. She has six children - all living. She has also several brothers and a sister living. Some of them did not even know of her sickness. Her maiden name was Cornman. Her brother John came on a visit on Saturday evening, only to hear the sad news that she was dead.

The deceased has been a member of the Reformed church (sic) of Carlisle for about 38 years, and was a zealous and earnest member member of that congregation. She has done much to help her church in many ways, and she will be missed from it active membership.

She was an estimable woman and the news of her death was received with sorrow.

Her funeral will take place on Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock, from her late residence, residence.
