She was born July 24, 1917, in Breckenridge County, Ky., the daughter of Earl and Alma Slaton Kasey. She married Don Wood in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Jack Sandifer in 1981. He preceded her in death in 1986. Surviving were her son, Bob Wood; daughter, Jeanie Shuff; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She worked in the Shelby County Treasurer's Office and in the State of Illinois License Department in Springfield. She was a member of the Christian Church of Vandalia, Vandalia American Legion Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star Mazeppa Chapter in Tower Hill.
