The obituary for Ralph "Bus" Kasey, 70 of Charleston, stated that he had died at 9:07 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 1991, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. He was born Nov. 16, 1920 in Breckenridge Co., KY, the son of Earl and Alma Slaten Kasey. He married Juanita Young in 1945. She survives him as well as sons, Lee Kasey of Charleston, Nels Kasey of Ashmore, and daughter, Mrs. Jerry [Joan] Willenborg of Greenup. Also surviving were a sister, Louise Sandifer of Vandalia and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He had farmed in the area for 45 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII and a member of the Neoga Grace United Methodist Church. Burial was in Ash Grove Cemetery. Published in the Mattoon Journal Gazette
