Von Rasmusson Emett, 87, passed away peacefully July 25, 2001 with her children surrounding her.
Born September 23, 1913 in Salina, Utah to Seymour David Rasmusson and Gertrude Larsen.
Married George Franklin Emett, Jr. on July 19, 1946 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death October 20, 1992. Von worked many years as a beautician owning and managing Von's Beauty Shop. Von was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several positions. She loved her family and friends.
Von is survived by her two sons and their families, David (Connie) Emett of Salt Lake and Ray (Bonnie) Emett of Taylorsville. She has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Grace Arness of Goleta, CA and a brother, Duane (Ada) Rasmusson of Manteca, CA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Sunday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is especially grateful for the wonderful friendship and support of Von's good friend Alice Bryant. They have shared many wonderful adventures together. They would also like to thank Christus St. Joseph Villa Special Care for their loving care.
