WINAMAC--Chauncey M. Felker, 92, of 215 E. Pearl St., died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Marion. He had been ill seven months.

He was born June 4, 1896, in Pulaski County, to Joseph R. and Alice Decker Felker. He was married Sept. 21, 1919, in Winamac, to June Katherine Moody, who died July 8, 1979.

He was a lifelong resident of Winamac.
He was a blacksmith and former owner of Felker's Blacksmith Shop.
He was a former Winamac town marshal.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.
He was a member of Winamac First Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of Winamac Kiwanis Club and life member of American Legion Post #71. He was a 50-year member and past master of Winamac Lodge #262, F&AM, and a member of South Bend Scottish Rite.

Surviving are a daughter, June Ellen Sodervick, Wabash; a son, Chauncey M. Jr., Brandon,Fla.; two sisters, Dorothy Needham, San Bernardino, Calif., and Meredith Mull, Galt, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A sister and two brothers preceded in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William A. Ryan officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Winamac Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frain Mortuary where there will be Kiwanis services at 7 p.m. and Masonic services at 7:30 p.m., and after noon on Friday at the church.
