WINAMAC WOMAN DIES IN HOSPITAL

WINAMAC--Mrs. Verna Mabel Bonnell, 82, of Winamac, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 27, 1886, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Rawn Felker. Her first marriage was to R.D. Zellers who preceded in death. On Dec. 27, 1953, she was married to Milo Bonnell. He died July 23, 1962.

Mrs. Bonnell was a member of Winamac Christian Church; Winamac Chapter No. 96, Order of Eastern Star; Mothers Club and Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lois Henry of Martin, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Zellers of Winamac; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step-daughters, Mrs. Mildred Roth amd Mrs. Bonnie Hiatt both of Star City, Mrs. Alice Montgomery of Logansport and Mrs. Margaret Bechdol of Twelve Mile; three stepsons, Argel Bonnell, of Winamac, and Howard and Wayne Bonnell both of Star City; two half-brothers, Joseph Felker of Winamac and Chauncy Felker of Winamac, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Meredith Mull of Galf, Calif., and Mrs. Dorothy Needham of Chicago.

A son, Virgil Zellers, died in 1950.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fry and Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas A. Terry officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
