RITES SLATED FOR MRS. PAGE-Williston Daily Herald, Mon., 8 Dec 1952, p. 2, col 2.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Nora Jane Page who died at a local hospital last Saturday. Burial will be in Riveriew Cemetery and Very Rev. John Haloran will officiate.
She was born Nov 29, 1862 in Ireland. She attended school in Ireland and came to the United States in 1881 and settled in Tama Iowa, where she married George W. Page. They lived in Britt, IA before coming to North Dakota with thier family in 1907 and homesteaded south of Zahl. She moved to Williston in 1935 after her husband died.
She was a charter member of the Gladys Helping Hand and a member of the Orthell Homemaker's Club.
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Ida Ball and Fred Page, Los Angeles; Mrs. Russell [Ida] Allen, Milford, MI, Mrs. Oscar Booke [Esther] of Williston, Martin Page, Zahl, and Harold Page, Portland. Thirty grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Martin Cosgriff, and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Amor.
Rosary will be recited in the Evenson Funeral Home chapel Tuesday, at 4:30 p.m.

She came to US/Tama, IA with brother and half brother, Martin and Michael Cosgriff. We have not discovered what port of entry she came through or how she traveled to Tama City.

According to Avis Page Porter, when people asked George why he had married yet he was fond of saying, "I'm waiting for my wife to come from Ireland and her ship hasn't landed yet." And that is exactly where Nora came from.

A Martin Page is listed in "History of Winnebago and Hancock Counties" vol. 2, Chicago: Pioneer Publishing Company 1917; Michael Cosgriff is listed in the 1885 Tama County, Iowa census living in Otter Creek: Michael Cosgriff 33, farmer, b. Ireland and was a registered voter; Nora 56 also from Ireland (not Nora Jane as she was only 24 in 1885 and was married to George and living in Tama City); Brett - male 2 years old; Frederic - male 1 year old.
