L. M. STEVEN FUNERAL FRIDAY
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 A.M. in Rose-Neath Chapel for Lawrence M. Stevens, 77, resident of Shreveport for the past 70 years, who died Tuesday at his home at 636 Burnley Rd., following a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Mississippi and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
Officiating will be the Rev. H. G. Buchanan, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church and the Rev. E. E. Fields , pastor of Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Summer Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, W. W., Oscar, and Ray Stevens; three daughters, Mrs. E. E. Stroud and Mrs. L. L. Powers, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. R. S. McClelland, Riverside, CA. ; one brother; Emmitt Stevens, Florence, Ms.; and a sister Mrs. Addie Scott, Memphis, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons; James L. Stroud, Ellis Stroud, Charles Gowan, Ronnie Powers, L. J. Sumrall and Eugene Stevens.
