Giles H King, 74, a native and lifelong resident of Keithville, died in the Guest House nursing home here at 12:30 am Wednesday after a brief illness.
A retired employe of the Cedar Grove Ice Co, Mr King was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, George W King of Keithville, and James Perry King, Henry R King and Claude King, all of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs J D Pace, Harlingen, Tex, and Mrs R J Allison, Shreveport; one stepdaughter, Mrs Elmer Attaway, Shreveport; three brothers, Mitchell King and R T King, both of Forbing, and Randall H King, Haughton; two sisters, Mrs Lee Beaird and Mrs Clem Norwood, both of Shreveport, and 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 pm in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev E E Ballard, pastor of the Barron Road Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Summer Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Oscar Stevens, Carlton Gentry, Charles Norwood, Johnnie O Beaird, Cecil A King and Edward King.
