Howard was my uncle and the only one of my Dad's siblings (of the ones who lived to adulthood) that I never met. He was the son of Walter Warner, my grandfather, and his first wife, Josephine Douglass. Uncle Howard was my Dad's half-brother.

Howard was the oldest of his parents' four children. He would have been about 6 years old when his baby brother died and a few months later, his mother. A year later, his little sister died. So, he endured a lot of hardships early in life.

When he was 10 years old, his father(my Grandpa) married my Grandmother. She raised Howard and his brother, Clarence, as her own. She and Grandpa gave them two more brothers and two more sisters.

He was a cab driver in Saginaw, Michigan for many years. He married Marcella Gagnon. They had no children.
