My Aunt Bea was the third child and only daughter born to Walter Warner & Josephine Alice Douglass. She died at 4 years of age due to spinal meningitis, adding more tragedy for my grandfather. He and his first wife, Josephine, lost their youngest child, Ernest, at 2 days old. Josephine died a few months later. Bea died the following year.

He later married my grandmother and they raised the two oldest sons from his first marriage and had four more children together.

He talked about his beloved "Little Bea" a lot.

Bea had two older brothers, Howard and Clarence, and a younger brother, Ernest. She also had two half-sisters and two half-brothers that she would never know: Marcella, Walter, Dorothy, and Duane.
