ALTHEA FEHRING
Funeral services for Mrs. Emil Fehring, 87, who died Tuesday at Chicago after
a short illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Allan McCaul will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Fehring, nee Althea Jackson, was born April 25, 1867, at Manitowoc Rapids
and was married to Emil Fehring Nov. 1, 1889. He died in 1900. Seventeen years
later she moved to Chicago.
Survivors include a son, Archie Fehring of Manitowoc; six daughters, Mrs. A. C.
Pederson of Cato, Mrs. H. W. Rathke of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. A. I. Watts
and Mrs. C. H. Caine of Chicago, Mrs. R. M. Ashton of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs.
J. H. Laske of Milwaukee; two brothers, Roger and Cyrus Jackson of Manitowoc;
a sister, Mrs. H. Tomlison of Seattle, Wash., 15 grandchildren and 20 great
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
