PEACEFUL DEATH COMES TO END A BEAUTIFUL LIFE
MRS. A.J. FANTA IS SUMMONED WHILE SHE IS IN SLUMBER.
NEWS IS A GREAT SHOCK TO FRIENDS
A beautiful death came to close a beautiful life Sunday morning when,
as she slumbered in apparent health, Mrs. A. J. Fanta quietly passed
into eternal sleep at her home on North Eighth street. Mrs. Fanta's
death occurred at 1:30 Sunday morning and was due to heart failure.
Announcement of the death of Mrs. Fanta came as a great shock to the
community. She had been down town Saturday afternoon and had returned
home at 6 and spent the evening in reading as was her practice and had
retired early. Shortly after midnight Mr. Fanta awakened to find her
dead.
Mrs. Fanta, nee Christina Krainik, was born in this city 46 years ago
and was married to Mr. Fanta 23 years ago. Besides her husband she is
survived by two children, one son Erwin, who is a student at the
University, and a daughter Miss Mildred. An aged mother, Mrs. Wenzel
Krainik, four brothers and five sisters also survive.
Mrs. Fanta's life was the embodiment of faith and duty. She had a high
sense of her responsibility as a Christian, member of society and as a
mother and was a woman of intellectual attainments and strong ideas.
She had a sweet and strong personality and her cheerful and helpful life
will be sadly missed by those who knew her best but the influence which
she indelibly impressed upon her friends will live and while she is
absent in person her memory will be fresh and blessed. Mrs. Fanta had
been affiliated with the First Church Christ Scientist of this city and
was a member of the Mother church of Boston and was completing her third
year course as a reader of the church.
The sympathy of friends will go out to the family in their loss. The
funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the late home, 831 N.
Eighth street, and will be private. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
