WILLIAMS, Janie, 84, of Tinton Falls, N.J., died Satuday, May 21, 2005, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J. She received two masters degrees from the University of South Florida in gerontology and business administration. She was a retired senior AIDS director for National Council of Senior Citizens in Washington, D.C., where she worked for 10 years, retiring in 1999. She was born November 14, 1920, in Rocky Mount, N.C. Mrs. Williams lived in Tinton Falls, N.J., for 1-1/2 years and was previously from Virginia and Houston, and spent most of her life in Tampa. Surviving are her son, Richard Williams and Shirley of San Diego, Calif., serving in the U.S. Navy in the Middle East; grandsons, Richard Williams Jr. and Daniel Edmondson; her devoted niece, Jane Earle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Peterson; her mother, Janie Hodgkiss; and son, Paul in 1988. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a kind and generous, loving woman and mother. She was loved by many friends and relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. May 28, 2005, at FairView Cemetery in Middletown, N.J. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central New Jersey Chapter, 12 Roszel Road, Suite C203, Princeton, NJ 08540. Letters of condolence may be emailed to [email protected].
