DR. G. ALBERT BLAIR PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 6—Dr. Albert Blair of Chambersburg, Pa., one of , the oldest practitioners in Pennsylvania, died in a hospital here today of heart disease. He was 70 years old. Dr. Blair had been under treatment for injuries received in route from Chambersburg to this city October 31, when he was thrown in the aisle of a coach as the train rounded a curve. The above refers to Dr. George Albert Blair, of our city, who died in Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Blair was born in Blair's Mills, Huntingdon county, and after winning his degree in Chicago he went to Hastings, Nebraska, where he practiced successfully for a number of years. He then went to Vienna, Austria, and took a course specially on the eyes, ears, nose and throat, and returning from Europe came to Chambersburg six years ago locating here for practice. Leaving here for a brief time he practiced in Williamsport, Pa., but returned and was practicing here up to the time of his death. His main practice here was in treatment of the eyes and he was quite successful. He is survived by two daughters, Gertrude, wife of Coroner Dr. J. H. Kinter, and Miss Phoebe, both of St. Thomas. He leaves also a brother and two sisters in Blair's Mills. The remains were taken to St. Thomas for burial.
