Miss Cretie Blair, a former popular Girard girl, daughter of Dr. G. A. Blair, a former Girard physician, died suddenly at a boarding house in Kansas City. The family now resides in Inland, Nebraska. Miss Blair and her sister have been employed in a department store in Kansas City for two years.

Miss Cretie was a graduate of the Girard High School, having secured her diploma in the class of 1900. After her graduation here she attended school at Parkville, Mo.

Miss Blair was taken suddenly ill at her boarding house, 512 Bellefontaine avenue, in Kansas City Monday afternoon, and died before medical aid could be rendered, although a physician who had been called had reached the house before she died.

According to the death record, the cause of death was septic poisoning.
