Alice Castle McFaddin, of Paintsville died Friday, October 8 in the Cest Haven Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Phoebe McKenzie Cantrell. Immediate survivors include three sons, Drew Cantrell of Sunberry, Ohio, Herschell Castle and Homer Castle, both of Paintsville, one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Phillips of Lexington, and seven step- daughters, Mrs. Dixie Province and Mrs. Josephine Baldwin both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Rita Goble of West Van Lear, Mrs. Gracie Sublett and Mrs. Alma Daniel, both of South Point, Ohio, Mrs. Faye Grosse of Copperston, W. Va., and Mrs. Rohima William of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving were two brothers, Ed Cantrell of Flat Gap, and Loman Cantrell of Fuget. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Don Fraley and Rev. Bill Meade at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Salyer Cemetery at Flat Gap under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
