Garrett Castle, 62, well-known Red Bush farmer, died Sunday, July 15, 1951 at 5:45 p.m.,in a local hospital,following a few days illness.

Born at Red Bush September 5, 1889, the son of the late Harrison and Lou Salyer Castle, he was married to Alice Cantrell Castle, August 8, 1908, at Red Bush.

He had been a resident of Red Bush most of his life, and had lived a few years in Paintsville.

Surviving besides his wife are three children: Herschell Castle, Paintsville, Homer Castle, West Van Lear, and Mrs. Delphia Phillips, Lexington; four sisters, Mrs.Merzie Brown, Sitka, Mrs.Ida Castle, Sitka, Mrs.Rose Burchett, Elna, and Mrs.Ella Tackett, Ohio.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 17, at 2:00p.m., at the Bethel Church at Flat Gap. Officiating ministers were Lonza Reed and Don Fraley.
Hymns were sung by the Paintsville quartet
Burial was made in the Salyer Cemetery at Flat Gap underthe direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
