Charles W. Goodmon, 81, of south central Kansas City, passed away on Tuesday in a nursing home at 12000 Wornall Road. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a lifelong Kansas City area resident. Mr. Goodmon worked in the sales department of Sitka Store Fixtures, retiring in 1972. He was a Catholic and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was survived by a son, Charles Irwin Goodmon, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jo Hill, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Ann H. Anderson of the home and Mrs. Katherine M. Bodine of Overland Park, Kansas; and five grandchildren.
Friends called on Thursday evening at the Muehlebach Chapel. Services were held on Friday morning at the Chapel with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
