Joseph A. Goodmon, 63, formerly of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Saturday in Osawatomie, Kansas, after a long illness. He moved to Osawatomie in 1952 after retiring from the Santa Fe Railroad where he had been employed as a freight clerk. Mr. Goodmon was survived by three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Bodine of 9515 Russell in Overland Park, Miss Evelyn Goodmon of Syracuse, New York, and Mrs. Ann Anderson of 2022 East 79th; and a brother, Charles W. Goodmon, of 2022 East 79th Street in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Rosary was recited at 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon at the Butler Chapel, where friends called after noon. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at the Butler Chapel in Kansas City, Kansas, and at 9 o'clock at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
