ED CORNETT NEAR DEATH
He is at the Present Time at the Home of Relatives in Virginia -- Worked Bell Co

Edward Cornett who was recently taken to the home of his parents near Fries, Virginia, in hopes of benefitting his health, is reported near death's door and not expected to live many days longer. He is said to be scarcely able to speak and cannot be aroused enough to pay attention to anything that is done in his behalf.

Mr. Cornett is well known here, having worked for several years as trouble man for the Bell Telephone Co. He is a member of the Sandborn Lodge Knights of Pythias and attended the local lodge of this order a number of times. His illness began over a year ago but he worked up to withing a short time previous to his trip south.

ED CORNETT DIED SUNDAY
Passed Away at Home of Relatives Near Spring Valley West Virginia

Edward Cornett, who until a few months ago, was employed in this city by the Central Union Telephone Co., as a trouble man, died of consumption February 12 at the home of relatives near Spring Valley, Virginia. Burial was made at that place Tuesday. Mrs. Cornett is undecided as yet whether she will return to this part of the country to make her home or to remain with his people.

The deceased was well known here, especially among the members of the order of Knights of Pythias, he having been a member of the Sandborn, Indiana lodge for a number of years. He was almost twenty-eight years of age, his birthday being the 3rd of March. He was ill for several months previous to his going to the home of his relatives in Virginia, but worked as long as he was able to keep out of his bed.
