OBITUARY -DIED APRIL 4, 1952- The funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mullinnix, who died last Friday morning at the Anna Trosky Nursing Home following a long illness, was held on Sunday at the Christian Church. Burial was in West Cemetery. Mrs. Mullinnix was born at Kasbeer, Illinois, and was the youngest daughter of 12 children of Jerry and Martha Lamb. When she was 16 years old, she came with her parents to Keokuk Co and they located on a farm, north of Sigourney. On November 22 ,1883, she was married to George P. Mullinix at Sigourney. They became the parents of one son, Montie Elmer Mullinnix. A great niece, Ada Lamb, known here as Ada Mullinnix and later, Mrs. Harry DuPuis, was taken into the home when a small child and given the care of a daughter. Mr. Mullinnix preceded his wife in death on Feb 4, 1920. She and her son have lived in the home here, and Monte has given his mother every care during her advancing years. One grandson, Harry, also preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Monte of Sigourney; Mrs. Harry Dupuis of Lansing Michigan; two grandsons, George of Sigourney and Harold of Los Angeles; Four great grandchildren, Nancy Mullinnix of Sigourney and Larry, Nikki and Owen Mullinnix of Los Angeles and the Dupuis children of Lansing.
