Funeral services for Leona M. Kenney of Lamar, Colorado formerly of Plainville will be held at 1:30 PM Monday August 2, 2010 at the Plainville Christian Church in Plainville, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Plainville Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Kenney will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday July 30, 2010 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar. The family asked that the casket be closed and that there be no visitation at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Plainville. Friends may sign the register book at the church from noon – service time Monday.
Leona was born on August 29, 1926 in Stockton, Kansas and departed this life on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 83.
Mrs. Kenney was preceded in death by her father and mother-Francis and Rose Bair both of Plainville, KS; by her first husband-Duane I. Boller on April 18, 1948 of Plainville, KS; by her second husband-Lester C. Kenney on March 27, 2000 of Plainville, KS; by one daughter-Jeanette Plante of Plainville, KS; and by two siblings-Leon Bair and Janet Plante both of Plainville.
