Funeral services were held Monday, November 20, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. for Frances Klempa Kirsch, under the direction of Huffman Memorial Chapel of Lake City.
Frances K. Kirsch was born April 14, 1898 to Mary and Karel Klempa near Butte, Nebraska. She passed away November 17, 1978 in Lake City, Iowa, at the age of 80 years, seven months and three days.
She married Frank P. Kirsch on February 27, 1933 at Superior, Iowa. They moved to Lake City in 1943 where she worked in the telephone office and the bank for a number of years. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the B.P.W.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, her husband, two brothers, a sister, and her parents.
Survivors include a brother, Karl Klempa of Superior, Iowa; two sisters, Caroline Salasek of Spring Grove, Illinois, and Ruth Schramm of Early, Iowa; and a number of nephews and nieces, among them Mrs. Howard (Arlene) Daisy of Lake City.
Frances will be remembered for her independent spirit and willingness to work.
Casket bearers were Bryce Daisy, Jeff Staton, John Schaffer, Jay Carlson, John DeVries, and Don Veerhusen.
Interment was made in the Lake City Cemetery at Lake City, Iowa.
