Gerald F. Hannan, 43 years old, an employee of the Kansas City, Kansas, Water and Light Department, died suddenly yesterday while seated on a bench at Fifteenth and Oak Streets on the Missouri side. He was a son of the late Thomas F. Hannan, a former mayor of Kansas City, Kansas. Death was due to heart disease, according to Deputy Coroner Moenighoff, who held an autopsy.
Mr. Hannan resided at 2940 North Twelfth Street in Kansas City, Kansas. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Fredericka Hannan; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Boyle and Mrs. F. D. Truesdell; and a brother, Frank D. Hannan, all of Kansas City, Kansas.
Funeral services were held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Rose of Lima Church at Eight Street and Waverly Avenue.
