MASON CITY -Rolan D. Jensen, 87, of Mason City died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Basin Cemetery south of Mason City. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Hazard. The Rev. Dean Hanson will officiate. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.
Rolan Jensen was born Nov. 13, 1924, near Mason City to Edward and Gladys (Olsen) Jensen.
Survivors of the immediate include two sisters, Marian Rasmussen of Pleasanton and Carolyn Ostrand of Mason City and one brother, Maynard Jensen of Mason City.
He was a graduate of Mason City High School. He lived on a farm south of Mason City all of his life. Rolan loved playing town team and semi-pro baseball, hunting and attending many area sporting events.
He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
