Eliza was the daughter of Powers Inman (1809-1869)** and Mary Durst (1812-1897). She married John C. Livezey on the 15th of May 1870 in Pomeroy, Meigs County, Ohio. Soon after they married, John and Eliza moved to West Virginia where they raised a family of 6 children.

They were Pearley D. (1871-1951), Fannie M. (1873-1953), Reuben A. (1875-1941), Joseph (1878-1949), John A. (1882-1967), and Sarah A. (1886-1923).
