Bossel was a 17 year old Waffen-SS Panzer Grenadier in the Das Reich Division.

Bossel's only claim to fame, is that he shares a gravestone at the La Cambe German Military Cemetery in Normandy with Untersturmbanfuhrer Adolf Otto Diekmann, the Waffen-SS commander who ordered the massacre of the entire village of Ordour-sur-Glane on 6/10/1944. The village was also destroyed but its remains still stand today as a mute testimony to what happened there.
