CHAPIN — Funeral services for Mary Allen Hollingsworth, 82, of Chapin will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Chapin United Methodist Church with interment in Celestial Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Chapin United Methodist Church Building Fund, 415 Lexington Avenue, Chapin, SC 29036.
Mrs. Holllingsworth was born June 25, 1925, in Chester, SC, the daughter of the late William P. and Clara P. Allen. She died Tuesday, January 22, 2008.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of Eastern Star, enjoyed arts and crafts, especially ceramics, and had retired from General Electric.
Survivors are her children, Jim Hollingsworth and his wife Robin of Irmo, Mary Thompson and her husband Jackie of Mt. Pleasant, Will Hollingsworth of Lexington, Freddie Hollingsworth and Ernie Hollingsworth, both of Columbia and Teretha McDaniel of Chapin; grandchildren, Wendy, Robin, Patrick, Kelly, Jimmie, Jamie, Matt, Drew, Tori, Hannah, Will, Brittany and Jessie; 3 great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Brock of Honea Path.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Hollingsworth.
