Mrs. Elsie Hauptli
Mrs. Elsie E. Hauptli, 83, of 1316 Oswego St., widow of Hans Hauptli, Sr., died yesterday in her home.
She was born in Ruppers Wiel, County Arragau, Switzerland, and attended schools there. She was married there to Mr. Hauptli in 1910. The couple came to Utica in 1912. Mr Hauptli died last year. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frances LaGase, Utica; a son, Hans Hauptli Jr., Chadwicks, and a sister, Mrs. Lina Matter. St. Petersburg. Fla.
The funeral will be at 10:30 Tuesday from the John S. Friedel Funeral Home with the Rev. John H. Sprock, D.D. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and tomorrow.
