Daughter of John and Rosanna (Cormack/Cammack) Gordon. She married James Monroe Stukey before 1846 as his second wife.

John and Matilda had issue:

Stillborn Twins born 1846
Stillborn Male born 1848
Male born May 1852 died 1 Aug 1852.

It's unknown if they had other children. Matilda did raise James' daughter, Isabella, from his first marriage until about age 16.

Matilda was a member of the Union Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia.

Matilda was buried in a Vault at Laurel Hills Cemetery on 12 April 1869.

Two of her children were re-interred in the Vault at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 17 May 1869. It's unknown which two children.
