Warren Bowles was born in Marion county, Missouri, August 5, 1836.
He became a member of the Christian church in 1858. So for nearly fifty years he has lived a consistent Christian life, respected and loved by all who knew him. Uncle Warren, as I knew him, was the same every day in the week and of him it could be truly said "his life is an open book."
He was married in 1864 toMiss Tilla Ralls, who survives him. To them were born three children, Edgar Bowles, Bennie P. Bowles aud Mrs. Maggie Garman. To them he left the heritage of a good name and stainless Christian reputation.
He died Sept. 25, 1907, and a large concourse of his relatives, friends and neighbors followed his earthly body to its last resting place, confident that we shall meet in a better world than this. The funeral sermon was preached by T. A. Hedges, Sept. 26th, 1907.
