Orville "Earl" Trotter, 91, died Nov. 30, 2006, at Attica Long Term Care Center.

He was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Attica, the son of James E. and Dottie L. Adams Trotter. He graduated in 1936 from Hardtner High School. A resident of Hardtner since 1955, he worked at the Z-Bar Ranch and the Adams Ranch, was a farmer, and retired in 1979 from Eagle Township as a heavy equipment operator.

On May 31, 1936, he married Della McCracken. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Ethan, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Janet Smith, Hardtner; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Calvin Trotter; and a sister, Vivian Davis.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John's Community Church, Hardtner, with Pastor Harold Henson presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lanman Funeral Home, Kiowa. Burial will be in Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Attica Annex Long Term Care Center or to the St. John's Community Church, both in care of the funeral home.
