Calvin C. Trotter was born June 24, 1925, in Buckeye, Colo., to James E. and Dottie L. Adams Trotter. He graduated from high school, then joined the U.S. Navy on June 1, 1944. He was discharged June 3, 1946, as a seaman first class.
He married Virginia Lee Holcomb on May 30, 1947, in Attica, Kan. They moved to Loveland on May 31, 1965, from Medicine Lodge, Kan.
Mr. Trotter was a machinist for Hewlett-Packard and retired in 1986.
He loved woodworking, archery and bicycling.
He is survived by his wife; two sons; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother; and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by sons Gary Lee Trotter and James Ellis Trotter; grandson Ron Coder; brother Howard Trotter; and sister Vivian Davis.
