Mrs. H. Stay of Greenbush passed away at the Northwestern hospital on May 29, the cause of death being cancer of the stomach.
Funeral services were held at the residence in Greenbush on June 2, Rev. C. J. Forsberg, pastor of the Church of God, St. Paul, conducting the services, and the remains were laid to rest in
Oak Hill cemetery, Blue Hill.
Mrs. Stay was born in Norway on January 17, 1861, and was married to Hans Stay in that country on December 22, 1879. With her husband she came to the United States in 1882 and resided in Minneapolis until 1885, when the family moved to Greenbush.
She is survived by eight children, one having died last November. Mrs. Stay's husband and children were at her bedside when she depart-
ed this life and her last words were, "Be kind to one another." She was prepared to meet her Redeemer and expressed a desire to leave this world of suffering. Mrs. Stay was a woman highly respected in the community where she resided.
She was a good neighbor and a loving wife and
mother, and her presence will be sadly missed.
