Emily E. Wallace, 93, of Barron died Sept. 11 at Barron Medical Center. Funeral services were this Wednesday morning at First Baptist Church in Barron, with the Revs. Greg Stine and Dennis Pond officiating and burial at Wayside Cemetery there.

Mrs. Wallace was born Jan. 24, 1911 in the Town of Clinton to Axel and Emma (Swanson) Dahlberg. She grew up and attended school in the area and married Sylvester Wallace on Feb. 10, 1931 in Barron. The couple lived and farmed north of Barron and moved to the city of Barron after retiring in 1973. Mrs. Wallace was active in all functions at First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Alan of Barron and Delwin of Tripoli; a granddaughter; a brother, Darold of Minneapolis; and three sisters, Alvera Pederson of Braham, Minn., Luella Henderson of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Frieda Phillips of Bloomer.

Mrs. Wallace’s husband, Sylvester, died in 1981. Her son Gerald died in 2001.
