Death Takes John
Bryant, a Farmer
Of Near Fairland
John Bryant, well-known district farmer and stockman, died at 5 o’clock this morning at his home, 5 miles south of Fairland. He was 69 years old.
Bryant, who had been a resident of Ottawa county all of his life, had been ill about three weeks. All eight of his children were present at the home at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Bryant, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Cash, Long Beach, Cal., Mrs. Sam Hall, Miami and Mrs. Harold Mitchell, Oakland, Cal.; five sons, Sid of Modesto, Cal., John of Oakland, Cal., Roy of Miami, and Paul and Fred of Burton, Kas.; two sisters, Mrs. George Griffin, Wyandotte, and Mrs. Jennie Mitchell, Pawhuska; and two brothers, Boone of Wyandotte and Jack of Hood River, Ore.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lane Funeral
home.

BRYANT RITES
Funeral services for John Bryant, 69-year-old county farmer stockman, will be held at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist church in Fairland.
Bryant, a life-time resident of Ottawa county died early Thursday morning at his home near Fairland.
The Rev. John Elliott will officiate. The body will lie in state at the home of a son, Roy Bryant, 33 E street northwest in Miami, until the funeral hour.
Bryant is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Bryant, five sons and three daughters.
Burial will be in Fairland cemetery under direction of Lane Funeral home.
