Obituary:

May Schell of Cass City died Thursday, Oct. 27 [1977], at the Armstrong Nursing Home in Caro.

She was born June 19, 1881, in Oakland County, coming to Novesta Township as a baby with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Cooper. She was a teacher in the Crawford and Ferguson schools.

June 19, 1906, she married Walter C. Schell in Novesta Township. Schell passed away November 21, 1946.

Mrs. Schell was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Cass City for 791 years. She was also a life member of the Methodist Women, and belonged to the Women's Study Club, Farm Bureau, and Grange.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Schell of Hendersonville, N.C., and Carl Schell of Cass City; three daughters, Winifred Schell of Detroit, Mrs. M. Wyles (Esther) Keller of West LaFayette, Ind., and Mrs. John M. (Eunice) Scarlett of Pisgah Forest, M.C.; one brother, George Cooper of Marlette; two grand- daughters, and three great-granddaughters. Four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Schell were conducted Sunday afternoon at Little's Funeral Home, Cass City, with Rev. Byron Hatch, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Elkland Cemetery.
