Ed Veroda, son of Martin and Frances Veroda, was born April 7, 1881 near Cuba, Kan. He passed away at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kan., July 4, 1965 at the age of 84 years, two months and 27 days.

He spent his entire life in and around the community of Cuba where he engaged in farm and various business enterprises.

On December 5, 1905 he was united in marriage to Mary Barbara Benyshek. To this union three children were born; Eleanor, Runus Dale and Dwann. The family was also blessed with the adoption of Helen, daughter of Adolph and Mary Benyshek.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Milek, two sisters, Josephine and Frances, his wife Mary in 1950 and one infant son, Renus Dale.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Eleanor McKenney and Helen Ewing, both of Los Angeles, Cal., and Dwann E. Veroda of Gardena, Cal.; one granddaughter, Gloria Peterson and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Wiruth of Haddam, Kan., and Victor Veroda of Corpus Christi, Tex., three sisters, Emma Sedlacek of Cuba, Kan., Helen Potter of Washington, Kan., Ella Bouska of Haddam, Kan., other relatives and a host of friends.

Services were conducted by minister Maurice Graham at the Cuba Presbyterian Church. Burial in the (Kopsa) National Bohemian Cemetery.
