She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul R. Campbell. Also, gone before her were a baby boy, her parents, Troy and Frances Viola Hewett, two brothers, Cecil C. Hewett and H. Leon Hewett and seven sisters, Victoria H. Smith, Louise H. Williams, Marie H. Stone, Mary H. Brinson, Margaret H. Somersett, Elizabeth H. Andrews and Dixie H. Hinson.
Ruby was born December 20, 1924 in Brunswick County.
She was a Godly woman who loved her Lord, her family, her community and Country and her church and church family. She was a faithful, active and longtime member of Carvers Creek United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a tax-preparer in Carvers Creek Community and was loved and respected by her family and friends.
