Barbara Marie Adams, the daughter of Raymond and Elsie (Knight) Chapman was born December 10, 1913 at Silver City, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 one day before her 95th birthday, at the Good Samaritan Society, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 29 days.
Barbara was raised in the Silver City and Mineola areas. She was united in marriage to Harold L. Adams in Rockport, Missouri. They lived in the Henderson area before moving to Wales. Family was very important to Barbara and she always treasured the time spent with them. She loved to treat the grandchildren with "Little Debbie's", Cheetos and pop. Barbara also loved Avon products and would gift "good smelling" items to the grandkids. In December of 2001, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harold; daughter: Ardis Stinger; sons: Garvin Adams and Gerald Adams; an infant grandchild; and sister: Naomi Decker.
Barbara is survived by son: Marvin Adams and wife Mary Jane of Emerson, IA; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister: Rogene Johnson of Lincoln, NE; brother: Marion Chapman of Whiting, IA; other relatives and friends.
