Barbara was raised in the Silver City and Mineola areas. She was united in marriage to Harold L. Adams in Rockport, Missouri. They lived in the Henderson area before moving to Wales. Family was very important to Barbara and she always treasured the time spent with them. She loved to treat the grandchildren with "Little Debbie's", Cheetos and pop. Barbara also loved Avon products and would gift "good smelling" items to the grandkids. In December of 2001, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harold; daughter: Ardis Stinger; sons: Garvin Adams and Gerald Adams; an infant grandchild; and sister: Naomi Decker.
Barbara is survived by son: Marvin Adams and wife Mary Jane of Emerson, IA; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister: Rogene Johnson of Lincoln, NE; brother: Marion Chapman of Whiting, IA; other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held
Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silver City Cemetery, Silver City, IA
Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
No public viewing or visitation will be held.
