Services for Emma R. Lofton, of Hattiesburg, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Cold Springs Church of Christ in BogueChitto with burial in Stewart Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 6 until 10 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Lofton, 99, died Dec. 10, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was born in Lincoln County on May 14, 1907, to John Richardson and Alice Faye Brister Richardson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cold Springs Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Bob Rippie, Robert McGlade Richardson and Hollis Lofton; her sons,Robert Rippie and John Rippie; her two brothers; and her six sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Eunice “Bonnie” Adams and husband Eliger Adams, of Bogue Chitto, Sara Monistere, of Hammond, La., and Mildred Cook, of Hattiesburg; her brother, Julius Richardson and wife Ellen, of Lincoln County; her sister, Ida Davis, of Lucedale;and an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
